Do Acne Creams Work?

—> Learn how to cure acne naturally step by step without acne creams

Going to the skin care center is not always the solution for acne, although in many cases people end up there. Certain medications and creams in the market are made from non-natural products, and this tend to make things worse for many people who’s skin is allergic to these elements.

Acne creams are the most famous and common form of treatment, and in fact it is also the most affordable as well. And most of the times, acne creams can be obtained from any place, including pharmacy, departmental store and many more. Acne creams can be solution for both light and severe acne problems.

Seriousness Of The Problem

For mild to average cases, topical acne creams can be used by applying on the skin to cure the problem. For cases beyond mild and average, or simply severe, systemic acne medication may be used. Systemic acne medication can be both something that is consumed and taken externally on the skin. Acne creams under this type are usually controlled and not like the common ones. They are far stronger, and only with prescription can be applied on to the skin.

In many of dermatology centers, for cases that are slightly serious, it is usually advised to take both the different types of medicines. According to experts, dual-way cure is better because the problem is cured both externally and internally. For example, if it is due to hormonal imbalances, you would be suggested to take oral prescription that stabilizes the hormones and acne creams that will repair and regain your skin and the scarred acne areas.

Contents

Most of the acne creams contain a chemical called Benzoyl peroxide. This Topical Antimicrobial acne medication works by killing the factors which lead to acnes, and reducing the oiliness on the skin. Besides just killing the acne, this chemical also makes medicines such as erythromycin and clindamycin that is taken during the period to work more effectively.

Some common acne creams also contain natural elements in them. This is very good generally for everyone, because definitely there is not going to be any side effect. Such elements would include salicylic acid, licochalone, chamomile, aloe vera, and feverfew. This type of acne cream is better because they do not only kill the acne, but they will penetrate inside and deal with the cause of the problem directly.
